I have had a lot of family things on my mind these last few weeks and have been really praying for my Nana, who lives in New Zealand, and my Mum (who has been spending the last few weeks full-time caring for her).

This weekend, my whole family came from all over the country to visit her and let her know how loved and treasured she is to us all.

We are thrilled that she has been transferred from the hospital and is now staying in a lovely, sunny room at her local Hospice in Timaru, New Zealand.

One of the things that Nana always used to ask me was,

"Are you happy dear? Because that's the most important thing."

One of the things that makes me happy is being creative and writing freely from my heart...

So, yesterday at my local cafe, I wrote a little poem and I've posted it below.

To Run Through Fields...


This is a call for all of you who yearn to be free.

To run through the fields of purple lavender,
yellow daffodils and bright red poppies.

To feel the cool wind caressing your hair,
To feel the fresh breeze on your face.

To breathe in, in, in...

To connect with your breath
And feel your heart expanding.

To feel yourself believing,
Becoming and being.

Being yourself,
Being free.

Free to dream, free to be,
Free to live the way you want to live.

Free of expectations,
Free of musts and shoulds.
Free of rules.

Free to finally be yourself.
Free to do what you want to do,
In the way that you want to do it.

This is a call to create and live each day,
And each moment,
In a way that sets your heart on fire and
Allows you to feel truly alive.

This is your life and the time is now.
